Paper Quality
A quick on look the content paper types used for the photo books. You have the choice of selecting any one of the three.
Standard Paper
Art Paper 150gsm
| Without Lamination the print outcome will be closer to
the original image. |
| • |
Standard white paper. Not too thick, not too thin. |
|
| • |
Without lamination |
|
| • |
Fade-resistant, as long as not exposed to sunlight. |
|
| • |
Can be written but not recommended, as certain inks
may not stick or the ink may smear. |
Art Paper 150gsm with Gloss Lamination
| With Gloss Lamination the printing outcome will be vivid
and shiny but slightly darker than the original image. |
| • |
Standard white paper. Not too thick, not too thin. |
|
| • |
Gloss lamination makes colours vivid, gives a shiny finish
and reflects light. |
|
| • |
Vibrant feel and smooth to the touch. |
|
| • |
After lamination treatment the page weights between
170gsm and 180gsm. |
|
| • |
Not recommended to be written on, as certain inks may
not stick or the ink may smear.
|
| ! When using Gloss Lamination increase photo brightness
by approximately 15%. |
Art Paper 150gsm with Matte Lamination
| With Matte Lamination the printing outcome will have a
'soft-touch' and classy feel, but darker than the original image
and Gloss Lamination. |
| • |
Standard durable, white paper. Not too thick, not too thin. |
|
| • |
Matte lamination gives it a muted finish. It does not reflect
light and so the printed page may look darker
(think screen protector on phone mobile). |
|
| • |
Artistic feel and 'powdery' to the touch. |
|
| • |
After lamination treatment the page weights between
170gsm and 180gsm. |
|
| • |
Not recommended to be written on, as certain inks may not stick or the ink may smear.
|
! When using Matte Lamination increase photo brightness
by approximately 20%.
|
Design Tips
| • |
Avoid too dense images and very dark background images when selecting Matte Lamination
(unless you want this effect). |
|
| • |
You may want to adjust the brightness-contrast of your photos, so that the printed outcome does not look
too dark to you. |
Premium Upgrade Paper
Linen 240gsm
| • |
Thicker card-like, white paper. |
|
| • |
Textured with a fine linen weave. |
|
| • |
No lamination as it is textured. |
|
| • |
Classy and elegant feel. |
|
| • |

|

| • |
More suitable for bright images. |
|
| • |
Avoid dense images and very dark background images, or else printing outcome may look over saturated. |
